Dear users, pay attention to draining or adding antifreeze to the diesel engine when a cold current is approaching! And share reminders with each other. There are regulations on using cooling water for tractors in winter.
When the temperature reaches below zero in winter, in order to prevent freezing and cracking of components such as the cylinder body and water tank, the water in the tractor water tank should be drained, and this drainage is also very particular!
1. Don't rush to release water after the homework season ends
In winter, the temperature is low and the outdoor temperature is generally around 0 degrees. If the engine is turned off, cooling water should be drained. At this time, due to the high temperature of the engine body reaching around 90 degrees, there is a large temperature difference with the outside world, and the cooling speed is fast, which can easily cause cracks in the water tank, engine parts, cylinder heads, etc. At this time, the engine should be idle for 5-6 minutes, and the water should be drained after the temperature drops to 50-60 degrees.
2. Pay attention to the condition of the water when discharging it
Long term use of tractors can easily lead to the presence of scale and impurities in the water discharge switch, causing blockage of the switch and preventing the cooling water from being drained completely, resulting in engine freezing and cracking. Therefore, the operator should carefully observe the water discharge situation. If the water flow is not smooth, the water discharge switch should be unblocked to allow the entire cooling water inside the machine to be drained.
After draining the water, shake the crankshaft several times to drain the water
3. When large and medium-sized tractors open the drain switch to drain water, they often cannot fully drain the cooling water in the water tank. Some of the cooling water still remains in the waterway, and there is still a possibility of freezing and damaging the body. Therefore, after draining the cooling water from the water tank in winter, the crankshaft should be turned several times to drain the water from the waterway.
4. Do not start the fire before adding water when the homework is activated
After the tractor starts, the engine temperature rises sharply, and the combustion chamber temperature can instantly reach over 1000 degrees. Therefore, if cold water is suddenly added to the water tank, it is easy to cause cracks in the body, cylinder liner, cylinder head, and vortex chamber inserts due to sudden cooling, and the piston, connecting rod, etc. will also deform. The correct method is to top up the cooling water before starting.
